Previous work experience can provide valuable insights and skills that are transferable to a career in the civil services. In my previous job, I held several key responsibilities that taught me important lessons and helped me develop critical skills that I believe will be useful in my future career as a civil servant.
In my previous role as a management consultant, my primary responsibilities included conducting research and analysis, developing recommendations, and presenting findings to clients. This work required me to be highly organized and detail-oriented, as well as to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. It also taught me the importance of clear and effective communication, as I had to present complex information to clients in a way that was easily understandable.
